No, Alterra Health is not a medical provider. The purpose of our platform is to provide lifestyle education and support. Providers manage all clinical oversight and medical direction. We support the lifestyle pillars of nutrition, exercise, mindset and self-care, and community.
What is the pricing model and cancellation policy?
Our pricing is simple with no hidden fees, no complicated contracts, no annual billing, and a hassle-free 90-day cancellation notice. Practices pay for our platform and then provide access to their patients. We bill clinics on a monthly basis according to patient volume.
How does the implementation process work?
Adopting the Alterra Health platform is a breeze. We can have your clinic up-and-running in 3 days with a custom platform instance branded with your clinic’s logo at the top. Our team does all of the heavy lifting and provides marketing materials for you to share with patients and include on your website from day one.
What types of practices adopt the Alterra Health platform?

We encourage clinics to give their patients access to our platform for at least one year since implementing lasting lifestyle changes is a long-term process, and patients find tremendous value in our ongoing events and programming.
How do patients receive communications?
Patients receive regular updates and check-ins through email and SMS text messages. We’ve carefully optimized the timing and frequency to keep patients engaged without overwhelming them.
Does Alterra Health integrate with EHR/EMR software?
No, Alterra Health is not a medical provider and does not manage clinical care in any way. We operate independently and strictly focus on lifestyle education and support. As such, we do not integrate with EHR/EMR software at this time.
Does Alterra Health provide 1:1 coaching, and is there an additional fee?
Patients can message with our lifestyle experts (dietitians, trainers, therapists, coaches) at any time through our platform and can take advantage of onboarding/coaching sessions as needed – no additional fee!
